South Brockwells Farm School Mini Farmers Holiday Club

At South Brockwells Farm School we provide a mini farmers club for children to learn about the vital role of farming in our lives, develop their understanding of where food comes from, the work and skills required to care for animals and essential, transferable life skills.

We shall be learning how to work with and care for our animals on the farm that includes 180 sheep and currently almost 300 lambs, 80 goats, chickens, ducks, numerous ponies and shetlands and of course Tinkerbell and Dexter the pet goats and Boomer the Shetland!

Mini farmers is run by a fully qualified teacher , farmer and activity leaders and our mini farmers will learn essential knowledge and skills such as:

- Understanding where their food comes from

- How to care for animals

- Essential life and safety skills

- Developing resilience and problem solving skills
